My name is Ava Coffen, I’m a model and stylist! But the truth is as much as I love fashion I’m a music and history buff at heart and most of my inspiration in fashion, and general day to to day life comes from the music I’m listening to, the outfits the artists were wearing and world/cultural history.
But into 3 words musical, historical and emotional.

I keep too much as I’m very sentimental and basically have, well anything to do with my dog…I have his hair in a locket. The locket was my mums when she went to South America in 1976’ she gave it to me before I moved and inside it has a little picture of Luna Park Entrace - a theme park that has a giant mouth you have to walk through to enter. I also wear my dads old striped Mambo trousers which are sentimental.
SOMETHING FROM YOUR CULTURE THAT HAS INSPIRED YOU THE MOST
The Melbourne music scene, it’s one of the best in the world hands down. Most People aren’t doing it to be famous, they are doing it because they love it. That inspires me to keep doing what I love and to not let failure or lack of recognition get me down. As it’s really hard to keep momentum going in creative industries as they are so egotistical and competitive.

I love vintage and particularly 60’s & 70’s - which I believe pairing Ana Nevi with these sort of pieces & references - the vintage vibe compliments each other perfectly because there’s something still very modern about Ana Nevi pieces. It’s a nice juxtaposition.
